Our Economic Development Goal is
“To develop infrastructure and opportunities while remaining true to our values.”
Our Land
Our tribe re-acquired a parcel of land for our governmental facilities through purchase. It had been taken away under ANCSA, which was meant to settle Alaska Native Land Claims by transferring land to Native owned Corporations.
Our Place of Work
We have replaced this 1973 trailer, which served as our Tribal Office far past its intended life. Resources to build a new Health Clinic have progressed. Our citizens have rated acquiring a new Community Hall as the #1 priority since 1990. Having a place to gather is very important for our culture, our families, and our sense of connection.
Charitable Gaming
We supplement Tribal Government and Services with earnings under our State of Alaska gaming permit. Currently, we are permitted for the Tebughna Pull Tabs store, 2464 E. Tudor Road, in Anchorage. Gaming taxes paid to the state benefit all Alaskans.
